Biography

Dr. Walton graduated from the University of California, San Diego, in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering: Pre-med. Following undergraduate studies, Dr. Walton pursued a medical education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, earning an M.D. in 2013. Subsequently, Dr. Walton completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Wake Forest in 2016.

Dr. Walton joined the United States Air Force through the Health Professions Scholarship Program. From 2016 to 2020, Dr. Walton was stationed at Brooke Army Medical Center, serving as an Emergency Medicine Physician. During this time, Dr. Walton was a member of the Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) team, which involved several Temporary Duty Assignments (TDYs) and one deployment.
