Biography

Dr. Richard is a Professor of Health Economics and the Director of the Health Services Administration (HSA) Division, Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU). Dr. Richard has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in a broad range of journals and disciplines including health economics, health services research, health policy and bio-medical. His current research focus is on the economics of traumatic brain injury in the Military Health System. He specializes in health econometrics (linear and non-linear models of health care costs and count data) and has over 21 years of experience in health economics, health services and health policy research and practice.
